Pakistan’s active COVID-19 cases count crosses the 45,000 mark!

The country on Saturday reported more than 2,000 coronavirus cases for the third consecutive day.

According to NCOC statistics, Pakistan reported 2,783 new coronavirus cases and 39 deaths in the last 24 hours.

The majority of cases were reported from Sindh, taking the country’s coronavirus cases total to 986,668.

The positivity rate stands at 5.6 percent.

 

 
 

Region-wise breakdown of reported COVID cases and deaths is as follows:

  • Sindh: 1,631
  • Punjab: 415 cases, 9 deaths
  • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 16 7cases, 3 deaths
  • Balochistan: 180 cases,1 death
  • Islamabad: 133 cases
  • Gilgit Baltistan: 78 cases, 1 death
  • Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 179 cases, 1 death

Another 1,000 patients have recovered from the coronavirus in Pakistan, taking the total to 918,329.

Meanwhile, 2,508 patients are in critical condition, with 120 additions in the last 24 hours, as per NCOC data.

The number of deaths from coronavirus in Pakistan has reached 22,759 and the total number of cases has reached 986,668.
