PAKvsAUS: Cricket fever grips foreign diplomats in Pakistan

Cricket fever has gripped the foreign diplomats in Pakistan like millions of countrymen who are eyeing victory at tonight’s T20 World Cup semi-final against Australia in Dubai.

British High Commissioner to Pakistan Christain Turner is now supporting the Pakistan team after his home team lost to New Zealand last night.

In a tweet, Christain Turner said, “That was a rollercoaster. Now I wait for my other team to go through – good luck Pakistan! Ab sab umeed Pakistan par hai!”


The US Embassy in Islamabad asks its staffers which side they are supporting in today’s high-voltage semi-final.

The US Embassy in Islamabad in a tweet shared,  “We asked members of our community which team they are rooting for this week, and U.S. Embassy Islamabad has a clear favourite! Did we even have to ask? #GOGREENS”

While the German Ambassador to Pakistan Bernhard Schlagheck says that he is excited to welcome you all to our Eco Cinema event in Islamabad.
