ACE Punjab takes Parvez Elahi into custody in four graft cases

The former Chief Minister of Punjab and President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chaudhry Parvez Elahi has been arrested for the 12th time!

Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Punjab on Saturday detained Prevez Elahi from outside Adiala Jail a day after an anti-terrorism court had granted him bail in the Federal Judicial Complex (FJC) attack case. 

As reported,  his arrest has been made in four four corruption cases registered against him and Elahi will be taken to the ACE headquarters in Lahore by evening.

According to the statement issued by the spokesman of Anti-Corruption Establishment Punjab, Chaudhry Parvez Elahi has been arrested from Rawalpindi in the Lahore Master Plan corruption case.

The statement added that Chaudhry Pervez Elahi forged the Lahore Master Plan project for financial benefits, tried to include his lands in Lahore by altering the Lahore Master Plan, forged seals and monograms of the consultant firm to alter the master plan.

Chaudhry Parvez Elahi’s lawyer, Sardar Abdul Razaq, confirmed his arrest and said that an anti-corruption case has been registered in Punjab.

Elahi was being presented for transit remand in the case registered in Lahore and the Islamabad Police will produce them in the FIA Court at the Judicial Complex for transit remand, he added.
