The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) has issued a show-cause notice to a Neo TV over a controversial segment that went live on current affairs show Ayesha Ehtesham Kay Sath.
The media watchdog has sent the notice on account of the language, deeming it as ‘vulgar’, used in the program.
The notice has been issued after Khalil ur Rehman Qamar and Marvi Sirmed indulged in a verbal spat during the show.
It occurred during a live news talk show airing on Neo Tv, with the participants invited to talk on the latest hot topic of the country, Aurat March 2020.
And the talk turned a bit nasty with writer Khalilur Rehman Qamar and activist Marvi Sirmed started to swear on each other without realizing that they were appearing on national television being watched by millions, or say thousands during the live transmission.
