PEMRA suspends Value TV license for illegally using name as 24 News
PEMRA has suspended Value TV license over illegally using the name as 24 News. The channel has been broadcasting news and current affairs programs violating the license and rules.
According to the press release, Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority suspended Value TV illegally using the name as 24 News with immediate effects on illegal transmission of news and current affairs content.
PEMRA has also suspended satellite TV channel license conferred to Central Media Network Pvt.
As per the press release issued by the regulatory watchdog, Value TV has been illegally using the name as 24 News, holds a license for entertainment content.

The licensee failed to comply with the orders of the Authority and to revert back to its original programming of Entertainment.
As PEMRA had issued a show-cause notice to M/s. Central Media Network Pvt. Ltd. (Value TV illegally using the name as 24 News) on May 7, 2020, and directed the licensee to stop the violation of license category by airing News and Current Affairs programs (which amounts to contravening PEMRA Laws) and to revert back to its approved programming content i.e. Entertainment programming in accordance with the terms and conditions of the license issued to them.
