Pervez Musharraf’s mother passes away in Dubai

She had earlier been hospitalised after suffering from respiratory issues.

Mother of former president Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf passed away in Dubai at the age of 102, reports news media.

Zarin Musharraf had been staying with her son in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the past several years.

Gen (r) Musharraf is her second of their three children, all boys. 

She had earlier been hospitalised after suffering from respiratory issues.

Zarin Musharraf is reported to be born in Lucknow in the early 1920s. She received her bachelor’s degree in English literature and was a graduate of Indraprastha College at Delhi University.

She got married to Musharrafuddin who was an accountant at the foreign office in the British Indian government
