Peshawar Enforces CNG Station Ban Amid Gas Pressure Crisis

The intense cold weather has exacerbated the low pressure in the gas supply lines, causing considerable difficulties for residents.

Peshawar has imposed a ban on all Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations in the city, which will remain closed until January 19, 2025.

This decision was made to address a significant gas pressure crisis affecting domestic consumers amid a cold wave that has increased demand for natural gas for heating and cooking purposes.

The Peshawar deputy commissioner announced the closure in response to directives from Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), highlighting the need to prioritize gas supply for households during this challenging period.

This temporary measure aims to ensure that households receive an adequate and uninterrupted gas supply during the harsh winter conditions, alleviating some of the challenges faced by the community.
