Petrol prices in Pakistan will remain unchanged for the month of September, a statement issued by the Finance Division on Monday said.
According to the details, the development comes after Prime Minister Imran Khan has rejected a summary by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) to hike the petroleum prices.
As per the statement of the finance division, the price of petroleum will be maintained at Rs 103.97 per litre, whereas the per-litre prices of diesel, kerosene oil, and light diesel will remain at Rs106.46, Rs65.29, and Rs62.86, respectively.

OGRA had presented two proposals regarding petroleum prices. The first was made keeping in view the international prices. The second proposal was made in the light of keeping the levy on petrol and diesel at Rs30.
However, Prime Miniter Imran Khan did not approve the proposal saying people were already facing miseries due to the torrential rains and coronavirus pandemic.
