PIA not to serve mineral water on domestic flights anymore

PIA is not to serve mineral water on domestic flights anymore!

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) announced its decision on Thursday that it will not serve mineral water bottles to passengers on domestic flights.

According to a notification issued by PIA’s Manager Flight Services, half-liter bottles of mineral water will not be provided to passengers on domestic flights of the national flag-bearer.

The notification added that the crew will provide water in glasses to passengers on demand.

The flight crew will provide the implementation report of the new directive through the logbook, the notification stated.

On the other hand, the Civil Aviation Authority has placed a ban on serving meals on domestic flights, both chartered and private, across Pakistan as coronavirus cases continue to rise.

The aircrew and staff have been instructed to ensure SOPs such as wearing masks and maintaining social distancing are followed on board.

According to a notification issued Thursday, the decision was taken on instructions from the NCOC.

CAA  had lifted the ban on serving meals on July 21, which has now been reimposed.
