Coronavirus Breakout: PIA suspends flights operations to China and Japan till March 15

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has once again suspended flight operations to China and this time to Japan as well, till March 15 amid coronavirus outbreak that has leftover 2,500 dead.
Last month flight operation was briefly suspended however; the airlines were given a green signal to resume flights to China after installing screening machines at the airports.
PIA spokesperson said that a decision about extending or ending the suspension would be taken after reviewing the situation.
“PIA flights to Beijing and Tokyo will not depart from today,” the PIA spokesperson said. “Travelers of these cities have been notified in advance.
As being reported, the decision comes amid the spread of the deadly virus in Iran.
Earlier on Sunday, Pakistan closed its border with Iran at Taftan after the death toll in the neighbouring country from the novel coronavirus surged to twelve, while Irani authorities reported 61 coronavirus infections.
