An 11-member investigation team of the Airbus has arrived in Karachi to probe the Pakistan International Airline (PIA) plane crash that killed 97 people.
On Tuesday afternoon, the team from France visited the crash site in Karachi’s Model Colony area.
The technical team also inspected the houses that were damaged by the crash and were given a briefing by officials of the Aircraft Accident Investigation Board.
Aviation authorities on Tuesday said that they have shared their initial findings with the visiting 11-member team from the European planemaker.
Airbus will run an independent investigation into the crash, the initial reports suggested the jet crashed after an apparent engine failure.
The plane, A320 Airbus, carrying 91 passengers and eight crew members and was scheduled to land at Jinnah International Airport but crashed on Friday afternoon in a residential area after reportedly developing a technical fault.
