PM Imran Khan applauds reopening of Hagia Sophia
PM Imran Khan applauds the reopening of Turkey’s historic Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque after 86 years.
Taking it to social media earlier on Friday, PM Khan wrote, “Felicitations to the Republic of Turkey, and H.E. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on this historic day after the first prayers in 86 years were held at Hagia Sophia [Grand] Mosque”.

Istanbul’s iconic Hagia Sophia held the Friday prayers for the first time in 86 years after its reconversion into a mosque earlier this month.
Earlier, Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan head, Senator Sirajul Haq also congratulated the Turkish government over the landmark move.
