PM Imran Khan arrives in Quetta after burial of slain Hazara coal miners

PM Imran Khan has arrived in Quetta after the burial of slain Hazara coal miners on Sunday afternoon.

Funeral prayers for the coal miners were after the deadlock between the government and the protesters came to an end on Sunday.

As being reported, PM Imran will meet with the leaders and religious scholars of the Hazara community to share their grief and condole over the last week incident in which 10 miners were killed by the militants in Balochistan’s remote area.

He will be briefed regarding the Machh incident during his visit.

The interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed will be accompanying the PM during his visit to Quetta on Saturday. Federal minister Ali Zaidi and PM’s special assistant Zulfiqar Bukhari are already present in Quetta.

According to the news source, Prime Minister wanted to rush to Quetta soon after the incident, but was advised to wait until the situation normalised.

Earlier in the day, Machh’s slain coal miners were laid to rest on Sunday after seven days in Hazara Town, Quetta.

The funeral prayer was led by Allama Raja Nasir Abbas at Hazara graveyard in Quetta nearly a week after the coal miners were killed by unidentified attackers on Sunday, January 3 at Machh coalfield in Balochistan.

The funeral procession was attended by nearly 5,000 people including mourning families, friends, and relatives of the victims.
