PM Imran Khan has directed to include Qadiyanis in the National Commission for Minorities on the quota of non-muslims.
Moreover, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has been directed to reorganize the National Commission for Minorities.
This development came on Wednesday as PM Imran Khan chaired the meeting of the Federal Cabinet in which summary was presented before him by the Ministry of religious affairs.
During the meeting, some ministers asked PM Imran Khan to include Qadiyanis in the national commission on the Non-Muslims quota.
PM Imran Khan directed the ministry of religious affairs to renew the national commission and include Qadiyanis as minorities in the commission, as Qadiyanis were given the non-muslim status on 7th September 1974.
The new National Commission for the Minorites will reportedly consist of 9 official non-muslim members and 8 non-official Muslim members, headed by a non-muslim.
