PM Imran Khan rejects Aamir Liaquat’s four-page resignation

PM Imran Khan has rejected PTI MNA from Karachi, Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain’s four-page resignation after a meeting held in Islamabad on Monday.

Aamir Liaquat Hussain who decided to resign from his seat citing being helpless MNA for Karachi, shared the details of his meeting with PM Imran Khan on social media.

According to Aamir Liaquat PM Imran Khan has assured to resolve problems of Karachi.

“After a long meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan, he rejected the four-page resignation. It will not be discussed, I opened my heart in front of PM”, wrote Aamir Liaquat in a tweet.

“He appreciated the voice raised on the issues of Karachi and said that this should be the role of a politically savvy and elected leader who cares about the people”, he further added.

The brief account of the meeting was shared in a series of tweets by the MNA.

Quoting PM, Aamir Liaquat wrote, “You are an asset for Tehreek-e-Insaf, there is no need to leave anything,”

He added that the party needed him and would make Pakistan a welfare state and that he “respected the lawmaker for raising his voice for Karachi”.

 

Last week, when Aamir Liaquat Hussain had tweeted that he had requested time from Prime Minister Imran Khan and would submit his resignation to him in that meeting as he felt “helpless” as an MNA from Karachi.
