Prime Minister Imran Khan has tested positive for coronavirus on Saturday.
The update was shared by the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health, Dr. Faisal Sultan.
According to SAPM, the premier is self-isolating at home.
Prime Minister Imran Khan received a COVID-19 vaccination shot of Chinese Sinopharm two days ago, on March 18.
As being reported, the premier might have been exposed to someone having COVID-19 symptoms before the vaccination.
The Prime minister had been busy running the office lately with several meetings held and as well as visits to several cities.
While on Friday, PM had addressed a ceremony at Malakand University, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The coronavirus situation in Pakistan is worsening with an almost 10% positivity rate as the country reports more than 3,000 cases for the straight third day.

Earlier in the day, SAPM on Heath Dr. Faisal Sultan has said that the government is set to impose restrictions on direct and indirect flights from certain African and South American countries.

Sultan also stressed upon following Covid-19 standard operating procedures and precautions to curb the growing number of cases.
“Contravening and disregarding administrative actions at this time will prove to be very dangerous and painful for the whole country.”
