PM Imran Khan highlights Kashmir issue, Islamophobia at UNGA

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday took the attention of the world by addressing at the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

In his maiden speech at UNGA that lasted more than 45-minutes brought the world conscience towards four core issues primarily the ‘Islamophobia’ and its prime example ‘India’ about how it has been prevailed upon them by their own RSS and the Modi government.

“In western society, the holocaust is treated with sensitivity because it gives pain to the Jewish community. That’s all we ask, don’t use freedom of speech to cause us pain by insulting our Holy Prophet (PBUH). That’s all we want”, said PM Imran Khan

Speaking about the humanitarian crisis going on in occupied Kashmir by Indian Modi government, PM Khan said that Kashmir is the reason why he especially came at the UN.

He said that the Indian atrocities going against innocent Kashmiris in occupied Kashmir is merely the violation of human rights, saying “will the world go for a market of 1.2 billion people, or for justice and humanity”.

“You think Kashmiris will accept a new status quo under revocation of Article 370. [Over] 100,000 Kashmiris [have been] killed, [and] thousands of women raped. [The] UN reported on this,” PM Imran bluntly spoke to the world leaders.

He stressed that it is regretful that the world knew about it but remained silent as it saw India as a huge market.

The premiere went on to say, “I want to make one thing clear that when we came to power, my first priority was that Pakistan would be a country that will try its best to bring peace. We had been through this war on terror.”

“We went through a nightmare. 70,000 people were killed an there were not any single Pakistani was involved in 9/11. Taliban were in Afghanistan, Al-Qaeda was in Afghanistan.

“When we came to power, we decided that we would dismantle what was left of these groups,” he added.

“I opposed the war because in the 1980s we joined the struggle against the Soviets funded by western countries. The Mujahideen were trained by the Pakistan Army and they waged the freedom struggle. The Soviets called them terrorists and we called them freedom fighters.

“In 1989 soviets retreated; the Americans packed up and left. Here we had indoctrinated them in jihad against foreign occupation and now that the US had taken over, we were supposed to tell them it’s no longer jihad.”

“And so the US turned against us and it was a nightmare.” He added.

Unveiling the Modi’s heinous strategies, PM Khan said that when we offered India to resolve the differences through trade, Modi denied and blamed Pakistan for planning the terrorist attack and we responded by saying we had attacks in Baluchistan from your end instead.

“Unfortunately we didn’t make any headway. Our foreign minister was at the UNGA but they canceled the meeting.

PM Khan further talked that India, under the guise of “Islamic terrorism”, was inflicting more cruelty on innocent Kashmiris.

“This hate-filled RSS ideology took the life of Great Mahatama Gandhi in India”.

“There is no other narrative left for India,” he stressed, adding that there was the probability of another Pulwama-like incident from New Delhi to blame and “bomb” Islamabad,”  he added. What do they think, are we the children of a lesser God? – PM Imran Khan

This is the time to take action, and the number one action should be that India lifts the curfew, he added.

I am not threatening here about nuclear war; it is a worry. It is a test for the United Nations. You are the one who gave Kashmir right to self-determination, urged  Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Suppose a country that is 7 times smaller than its neighbour & is faced with a question: Either you surrender, or you fight till the end. I ask myself this question. And my belief is There is no God but Allah. We will FIGHT! – Prime Minister Imran Khan.

‘This is the time when you, the United Nations, must urge India to lift the curfew; to free Kashmiris who have disappeared and this is the time when the UN must insist on Kashmir’s right to self-determination’, concluded PM Imran Khan.
