PM Khan spotted with ‘parchi’ in hand during meeting with Qatari leadership

It has not been so long when people of Pakistan and the ruling party Pakistan Tehreek -e- Insaaf (PTI) were proudly sharing the news that Prime Minister Imran Khan paid tribute to martyrs in his speech on Defense Day, they point out that the premier had done so without any prompt or parchi as opposed to the former premier Nawaz Sharif who had been called with the title “Parchi Wali Sarkar”.

It was shared by Twitterati after a speech of PM Imran Khan in September 2018:

#PMImranKhan on #DefenceDay addressing the nation with no parchi while bringing a smile to everyone’s faces ”

“The speech we’ve all been waiting for from our Prime Minister … For me it was the best in the world because it came right from the heart … NO PARCHI NEEDED … #DefenceAndMartyrsDay #PMImranKhan”

A few months later, recently in his Doha visit, the PM has been caught with a parchi in his hand during his meeting with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani at the Diwan-e-Amiri.

Interestingly in the events of past, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and its supporters were always quick to point out how former premier Nawaz Sharif “did not know how to talk to leaders without help”.
