Sindhi Poet Akash Ansari’s Adopted Son and Driver Under Investigation for Suspected Homicide

Both Latif and the driver were detained after returning from burying Dr Ansari in Badin.

Renowned Sindhi poet Dr Akash Ansari tragically lost his life in a fire at his residence in Hyderabad, on Feb 15.

Initially, the cause of the fire was suspected to be a short circuit, but subsequent investigations have raised suspicions of foul play.

The autopsy revealed deep wounds consistent with injuries from a sharp object on Dr Ansari’s body, suggesting that he may have been attacked before the fire occurred.

Following the development, the poet’s adopted son, Latif Ansari (also referred to as Vishal Latif), and his driver have been arrested by Badin police on charges related to Dr Ansari’s murder.

Background investigation revealed that Dr Ansari had filed a case against Latif for fraud in 2024, indicating strained relations between them.

Both Latif and the driver were detained after returning from burying Dr Ansari in Badin. Reports indicate that the driver confessed to involvement in the crime.

The investigation is ongoing, with authorities working to determine if there was indeed foul play involved in Dr Ansari’s death beyond just an accidental fire or electrical issue.
