Power outage hits Karachi after raining cats and dogs
Power outage hits several areas of Karachi after Friday afternoon’s heavy rainfall.
Several areas of metropolis including Jamshed Road, Model Colony, Saddar, Clifton, Malir, Gulistan-e-Johar, Dhoraji, Bahadurabad, PECHS, Soldier Bazaar, University Road, Gulshan-e-Hadid, Abdullah Haroon Road, Shah Faisal Colony, Shahrah-e-Faisal, Fawwara Chowk, M.A. Jinnah Road, and Garden received rainfall.
Meanwhile, Karachi electric service provider company K-Electric took to social media to provide updates on power outage.
“Heavy rains and wind causing power disruption throughout the city. Some feeders switched off for safety reasons. Teams are working for the swift restoration of power. Please only call 118 for emergencies such as sparking, broken wires, or fallen PMT”, said KE in a tweet.
