PPP leader Qamar Zaman Kaira’s son laid to rest in Lala Musa

The funeral prayers for the teenage son of senior leader of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Qamar Zaman Kaira, Usama Qamar, were offered at Link School’s ground in Lala Musa at 3pm on Saturday.

Usama was killed in a horrific road accident on Friday. The deceased was the student in Government College Lahore.

The funeral was done amid tight security at Lala Musa. Various social and political figures including government officials visited Kaira House and extended condolences to the bereaved family.

The funeral was attended by PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto , Former President Asif Ali Zardari , Senior PPP leader Farhatullah Baber, Former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani, Former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf,  Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Usman Dar, Prime Minister’s spokesperson Nadeem Afzal Chun, Federal Minister Chaudhry Ghulam Sarwar, Pakistan Awami Tehreek’s leader Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, Railway Minister Shaikh Rasheed, Former Senator and Aitezaz Ahsan and a number of PPP workers.

He was laid to rest at the district graveyard in Lala Musa.

Earlier, as per the reports stated, the accident happened when Usama was coming from Kharian side in his car. While overtaking a truck, his car lost control and bumped into a tree resulting in fatal injuries

PPP member was informed about the death of his son during a press conference at Islamabad which he left in the middle and departed for Lala Musa.
