President Alvi once again contracts COVID
President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi has once again contracted COVID!
President took to Twitter on Thursday evening to give an update on his health.
“I have tested +ive for Covid again. Had a sore throat for 4-5 days & was getting better. Felt mildly feverish for a few hours two nights ago. No other symptoms. So friends plz resume precautions & follow SOPs.” Dr. Alvi tweeted.

President Alvi had earlier tested positive for Covid-19 in March 2021.
Pakistan has reported 1,293 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, marking the second straight day of more than 1,000 infections.
The national positivity rate has risen to 2.5 percent.
The government has already outlined these precautionary measures to be implemented for defense against the Omicron COVID strain:
- Wear masks
- Get vaccinated
- Avoid crowded areas
- Ensure proper ventilation at public gatherings.
