President Asif Ali Zardari Tests Positive for COVID-19
President Zardari was shifted to a private hospital in Karachi from Nawabshah — after experiencing health issues.

President Asif Ali Zardari of Pakistan has tested positive for COVID-19, according to a statement from his physician, Dr. Asim Hussain.
This diagnosis was confirmed after multiple tests, and President Zardari has been advised to remain in isolation at a private hospital in Karachi. He was shifted there from Nawabshah due to health issues, including respiratory complaints and fever.
This is not President Zardari’s first time contracting COVID-19; he previously tested positive in July 2022, experiencing only mild symptoms at that time.
His current condition is being closely monitored by a team of infectious disease specialists, and his health is reported to be improving.
As a result of his health situation, President Zardari will not attend a scheduled rally on April 4 and has been advised to take continuous rest.
Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon has dismissed reports suggesting that President Zardari would be flown to Dubai for treatment, stating that his health is improving and he will soon recover completely.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and other officials have expressed concern and offered prayers for President Zardari’s swift recovery.
