Prime Minister Imran Khan and Erdogan agrees to enhance cooperation to fight against coronavirus

Prime Minister Imran Khan and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan have agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Turkey to tackle the Covid-19 pandemic, a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office said.

In a telephone call to PM Imran, the Turkish oresident exchanged Eidul Fitr greetings and also offered his condolences on the “tragic” plane crash in Karachi, reports said.

The Prime Minister briefed President Erdogan on the steps his government had taken to tackle the spread of the novel COVID-19 in Pakistan.

PM Khan also thanked the Turkish president for providing the country with medical equipment during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, which he said was “reflective of historic linkages between the two countries to help each other in times of need”.
