PSL 5: PM Khan announces ‘state guest’ status to all foreign players and officials

Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced the ‘state guest’ status to all the foreign players participating in Pakistan Super League’s fifth season.

As per the details, under the PM’s orders, match officials, security consultants, and media persons who are visiting Pakistan to cover the tournament would also be given special status.

The premier has issued the orders to all the provincial chief secretaries, chief commissioners, police chiefs, and other officials to provide them special security.

“All the foreigners are our guests,” he said while instructing authorities to make extraordinary arrangements for their safety.

The tournament PSL 5 is set to start on February 20, 2020. The foreign players have started to join their respective teams.
