PSX Attack: Security Guard Martyred Two Days Before Retirement

The terrorist attack on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has claimed 4 lives, a police officer and three private security guards who were martyred while foiling the heinous attempt of the assailants on early Monday. The 60-year-old Iftikhar Wahid was one among them, who sacrificed his life on the call of duty.

According to the sources, Iftikhar was serving as a security guard at the Pakistan Stock Exchange for the last 10 years and was due to retire on July 1— two days before his leaving martyred on the PSX attack.

The assailants stormed the PSX compound around 10a.m Monday morning where Iftikhar was stationed at a checkpoint at the only entrance.

The gunmen carried their first attack on throwing hand grenades and opened fire on the security guards and faced massive resistance going inside the building and two attackers were neutralized on the hands of valiant security personnel.

Iftikhar, according to the police, bravely confronted the assailants and killed two of them before embracing martyrdom.
