PSX index touches six months low

PSX index touches six months low on Monday.

  • PSX 100 index showed a decline of 648 points or 1.5% PSX-100 index closed at 43829 points
  • The last time the index closed below 44000 points was on April 7, 2021

The Pakistan Stock Exchange fell sharply on the first day of trading and the 100 Index closed at a six-month low.

During the trading session, the business has been under pressure since morning and at one point the 100 Index had gone down by more than 700 points and the index had come down to 43,718 points.

At the end of the trading session, the stock market improved and the 100 Index closed at 43,829 points after falling 648 points.

The trading volume was 220 million shares and a total of 380 companies traded.

In all, shares of 300 companies declined while shares of 66 companies rose and shares of 14 companies remained stable.

At the end of the day, the index closed at 43,829 points, and after more than six months, the index closed at less than 44,000 points.

The last time was on April 7, 2021, when the index closed below 44,000 points.
