PSX soars to historic all-time high crossing 77,000 points
A day earlier, the stock market reached an all-time high of 76,208.16 points

The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) reached to historic all-time high on Friday, June 14, as it crossed the 77,000 mark by gaining more than 1,000 points during the intraday trading.
The benchmark KSE-100 reached an all-time high of 77,213.31, up by 1,005.15 or 1.32% from yesterday’s close of 76,208.16 points.
As reported, the index was trading at 77,177.62 by 11:15 am, marking a 1.3% increase or 969.46 points.
This positive momentum in the market is attributed to positive investor sentiment following the announcement of the federal budget for 2024-25.
Analysts are of the view that the budget 2025’s positive impact on the market stems from the government’s decision to maintain the current Capital Gains Tax (CGT) treatment, leaving it unchanged from normal tax.
