PTA stressed the importance of promptly transferring these SIM cards to the names of living relatives.

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has announced that SIM cards registered under the identity cards of deceased individuals will be blocked starting October 15.

In its official statement, the PTA stressed the importance of promptly transferring these SIM cards to the names of living relatives.

After the deadline, any SIM cards associated with deceased individuals will be deactivated.

The PTA encourages users to act quickly by visiting their nearest franchise with the original death certificate and official proof of their relationship.

The franchise will verify the documents and assist in transferring the SIM card to the relative’s name.
