The internet service of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTCL) has been restored partially across the country as users are now able to access the internet again.
According to the reports, the internet services across the country were disrupted around 2:30 am, especially PTCL internet that was down. There were reports of some other Internet Service Providers (ISPs) that were having issues with their internet services as well.
Some reports said that there might be a fault developed in the submarine cable while some users suggested that the PTCL network was down due to damage to their underground cables. However, the cause of the issue is still unknown as there is no official update from authorities.
Meanwhile, PTCL services are gradually being restored and users are able to connect and browse the internet.
Note that the internet services of Jazz, Zong and Telenor were working fine and only PTCL internet, Stormfiber, Nayatel and other localized Internet Service Providers (ISPs) were facing issues with their services.
As soon as the internet went down for users, the micro-blogging website Twitter started trending with the hashtag #PTCL and people started expressing their anger with the company’s internet service.
