PTI activist Sanam Javed rearrested after an hour of release
Sanam Javed was released earlier today following months of incarceration but was taken into custody by Islamabad police soon after.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist Sanam Javaid was rearrested almost an hour after her release on Sunday, July 14, following acquittal by an Islamabad court, in a case registered by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
According to Sanam’s lawyer Mian Ali Ashfaq Advocate, Islamabad police intercepted their vehicle to arrest her.
“We handed her to the police without resistance. This is what law-abiding people do,” he wrote on X.
An Islamabad district and sessions court on Sunday dismissed the case against the PTI activist Sanam Javed made over tweets on social media platform X.
The local court dismissed the case against PTI activist Sanam Javed. Duty Magistrate Malik Imran pronounced the reserved verdict on Sanam Javed’s remand.
