PTI announces country-wide protests after Friday prayers

Meanwhile, PTI leadership will hold a consultative meeting at 1 pm today under the chairmanship of Imran Khan.

PTI has given a call for country-wide protests after Friday prayers following the assassination attempt on party Chairman Imran Khan.

PTI has called for nationwide protests till PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s demand is met.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan sustained an injury on his leg due to an assassination attempt during the party’s long march in Wazirabad, Gujranwala.

PTI leader Asad Umar made the announcement in a tweet saying that a country-wide protest after Friday prayers.

“The protests will continue until Imran Khan’s demands are met,” he said in a tweet.

 

PTI leader and Former information minister Fawad Chaudhry in a tweet said that PTI has given the call for a nationwide strike after Friday prayers today.

 

Awami Muslim League (AML) president Sheikh Rashid has also announced a protest outside the Lal Haveli after 2 pm today.

In a series of tweets, Sheikh Rashid alleged that “instruments of an organized conspiracy” were involved in the attack on PTI chairman Imran Khan yesterday.

Meanwhile, PTI leadership will hold a consultative meeting at 1 pm today under the chairmanship of Imran Khan.

The spokesperson of Punjab’s chief minister, Musarrat Cheema in a tweet gave an update on Imran KHan’s condition and shared that the meeting will take place at Shaukat Khanum hospital.

 

Former human rights minister and PTI leader Shireen Mazari demanded the immediate sacking of the planners of the assassination attempt on party chief Imran Khan as she asserted that the former premier “is our red line”.

 

Following the firing incident on Imran Khan on Thursday in Wazirabad, Umar had said in a statement that Imran Khan has demanded the removal of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, and an officer of a state institution.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf workers and supporters took to the streets on Thursday in many cities protesting as the party leader Imran Khan was shot in the PTI long march.
