PTI celebrates the Army’s Change of Command as Youm e Nijat!

Ironically some weird hashtags are currently trending on Twitter timeline as Nov 29 marks the appointment of Pakistan’s new army chief.

The outgoing COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa handed over the command of the Pakistan Army to his successor General Asim Munir in a ceremony held at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.

Here is what PTI, its leaders and supporters are commenting on Twitter with above mentioned hashtags:

PTI leader Asad Umar in his tweet said: “Gen Bajwa leaves behind a legacy of political turmoil, a shattered economy and worst of all a fracturing of the relationship of trust between the army and citizens, with his decisions.”

Former Deputy Speaker of National Assembly of Pakistan, Provincial President PTI Balochistan, Qasim Suri in a tweet said, “After spending six years as #Pakistan’s most powerful man, Bajwa leaves a country in a significantly weaker position: society is deeply polarized, the economy is on the brink of default and political instability.”

On the other hand, political pundits of the country claim TTP went from being buried to being reborn under General Bajwa.
