PTI files petitions in SC registries against Wazirabad gun attack FIR

PTI has requested the top court to hold public hearings and form commissions on three matters

On Monday, the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) filed petitions in different registries of the Supreme Court including Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, and Quetta seeking registration of an FIR of the Wazirabad gun attack.

PTI also seeks the formation of a judicial commission to probe the assassination attack on party chief Imran Khan in Wazirabad.

Furthermore, in the petition, the PTI has requested the apex court to hold public hearings and form commissions on three matters, including the Wazirabad attack, journalist Arshad Sharif’s killing, and Senator Azam Swati’s alleged video leak saga.

Petition filed at SC Karachi Registry:

As reported, two applications were submitted by 26 PTI lawmakers at the Supreme court Karachi registry.

In the filed petitions, the PTI demanded investigations into the gun attack on Imran Khan, and also a probe into Swati’s leaked video and Arshad Sharif’s murder.

Petition filed at SC Lahore Registry:

The petition at the SC Lahore registry was filed by Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Usman Buzdar, and other parliamentarians.

As reported former CM Punjab Usman Buzdar handed the petition to deputy registrar SC Ijaz Goraya.

The petition stated that the PTI has requested to form a judicial commission. It implored the court to take action on these matters by taking suo motu notice.

Petition filed at SC Peshawar Registry:

Similar petitions were submitted in SC Peshawar registry by Peshawar Assembly Deputy Speaker Mehmood Jan, Atif Khan, Shaukat Yousufzai, Kamran Bangish, Dr Amjad, Senator Usman Tarkai and others.

The PTI demands to lodge an FIR of the Wazirabad gun attack against three government officials.
