PTI gives new date to resume its long march aka Azadi March

The long march was previously set to resume on Tuesday, Nov 8 from Wazirabad.

PTI on Monday has given a new date to resume its long march aka Azadi March!

PTI Senior Vice President Fawad Chaudhry has announced that the party’s long march will resume on Wednesday, Nov 9, instead of Tuesday, Nov 8,  at 2 pm.

A day earlier PTI Chairman Imran Khan made the announcement while addressing a presser at the Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Lahore that his party will be resuming the Long March on Tuesday.

PTI chief Imran Khan said that his party will be resuming its march to Islamabad on Tuesday and he will join the protestors from Rawalpindi.

“We will start the march from Tuesday. I will address every day,” said Khan from the hospital.

He added that he will lead the march from Rawalpindi when it arrives in 10-15 days.

Pakistan: Former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that he will lead the march to Islamabad until Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan fully recovers from the injuries sustained during an assassination attempt.

What caused the changes in the schedule of PTI’s long march resumption has not been shared with the public yet.

Meanwhile, the PTI Chairman Imran Khan has said that “my long march will achieve the target under any circumstances.”

As reported, during a meeting with representatives of media bodies, the PTI chief on Monday said that the party would back off only after getting the date for general elections.

Imran Khan said that no compromise can be made with PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif.

He said the march would be led by PTI Secretary-General Asad Umar and the party’s vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi.

Former PM Imran Khan said that the personnel of the armed forces standing guard on the borders were like his “children” and that going against the institution was not an option for the party.
