PTI MNA Aslam Khan hosts his son’s valima function on Sunday in Karachi amid lockdown restrictions!
As being reported, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) MNA Aslam Khan held a large gathering of people at his residence in Khayaban-e-Rahat, Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Phase 6.
In a clear violation of the COVID-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs) as the government of Sindh has already imposed lockdown till 8 August banning all social gatherings to curb the spread of coronavirus.
Khan while speaking with a private news channel said, “The valima ceremony of my daughter held at my residence while I only invited family and close friends for the function.”
The event’s news was also shared on social media as the lawmaker held a gathering despite the restrictions.

As per the news source, around 500 people were given invitations for the valima ceremony of a Member of National Assembly Aslam Khan’s son, and while more than 250 persons attended the event.
Reportedly, police warned the organizers, however, the ceremony continued after the organizers turned off the lights of the entrance.
However, in a similar act, two men were arrested for hosting a wedding party on the roof of their apartment on Saturday in Karachi’s Bahadurabad locality.
The police and Rangers had raided the event and organizers were arrested and taken to jail, while the guests were sent back home. A case has been registered against the two men.
The assistant commissioner of the locality said that the suspects were violating coronavirus SOPs.
“A ban has been placed at all types of indoor and outdoor gatherings. We have a zero-tolerance policy against anyone not following the government’s precautionary measures,” he added.
