Islamabad’s district administration on Thursday granted a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for its scheduled rally on September 8, however, with 42 conditions attached.
As reported, the NOC was issued in the name of PTI’s district president, Aamir Mughal, who had submitted the request for permission to organize the event.
As per the notification, PTI has been authorized to hold the rally at Paswal Road, Sangjani. Meanwhile, the participants must follow specific routes designated by the administration to access the venue.
The rally is set to take place at the open grounds of GT Road Singhu Jai, starting at 4 pm and ending at 7 pm. The administration has made it clear that anti-state speeches or slogans will not be allowed, and the permission is valid solely for September 8, with the organisers responsible for ensuring participants return the same night.
According to the district administration’s conditions, the organisers are tasked with managing internal security at the event, and any speech or slogan against the state is strictly prohibited.
Additionally, a separate map has been issued for attendees coming from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab via the motorway, with designated routes provided for those travelling via GT Road from Punjab. Separate route plans have also been outlined for participants coming from Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Murree.
