PTI suspends Sher Afzal Marwat’s party membership
The party leaders claimed that Marwat had been constantly violating the party discipline over the past month.
Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf (PTI) has suspended Sher Afzal Marwat’s party membership.
As reported the decision was taken after a meeting between incarcerated party founder Imran Khan and the top leadership in Adiala Jail on Thursday.
PTI leaders met Imran Khan where the decision regarding Mr Marwat was taken, revealed a source within PTI, adding, “A formal statement would be issued on Friday (today) in this regard.”
“During the meeting with Imran Khan, it was agreed that no leader is above the party and all other leaders would face the same fate if they crossed the party line,” the source said.
Sher Afzal Marwat, a firebrand party leader who was elected to the National Assembly in the Feb 8 polls.
