PTI’s Aleem Khan acquires Samaa TV!
PTI’s Aleem Khan is reported to have acquired Samaa TV at a whopping Rs 3.56 billion price.
According to the sources, the deal was finalized after days of negotiations between the owner of the channel Zafar Siddiqui, and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Abdul Aleem Khan.
However, no official confirmation or statement has been issued by both parties yet.
If true this is going to be one of its kind deal in the Pakistani media industry in recent times.
Samaa TV was launched by Zafar Siddiqui in December 2007.
The newly reached deal has been the talk of the town as a number of journalists hinted at about the news channel being sold on social media.
@SAMAATV

My chirya tells me that the owner of a major Pakistani news channel is in talks with an important member of the ruling party – the purported aim of the talks being for the important member of the ruling party to purchase the news channel
