Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Firdous Shamim Naqvi has resigned from the Sindh Assembly as the opposition leader on Friday.
The development comes ahead of before the Senate polls.
As being reported, Firdous Shamim Naqvi has forwarded his resignation to party leadership.
The PTI leader said that he has been associated with the party for 24 years and it was the second time that his resignation was sought.
According to the news source, Haleem Adil Sheikh is likely to replace Firdous Shamim Naqvi as the opposition leader in the Sindh Assembly.
PTI had earlier asked Naqvi to resign on September 30, 2020, in wake of his comments against his own party.
