Punjab Government is all set to take action against businesses involved in the manufacturing of fake cosmetics, announced Chief Minister of the province Usman Buzdar.
Alongside the planned action, the cabinet has also approved The Punjab Drug and Cosmetics Amendment Act 2019 to take down on illegal licensing involved in the industry.
While talking to Dawn News, Buzdar said that the cabinet “approved the act to ensure production of cosmetics according to international standards”.
He added that “the purpose of licensing of cosmetics sale points was to ensure the provision of genuine products through the original supply chain”.
