Punjab govt issues SOPs for restaurants, tourism sector

The government of Punjab on Friday has issued standard operating procedures (SOPs) which would be implemented by the restaurants and fast food businesses when they reopen from Monday, as well as for the tourism sector which resumed operations from today.

According to the details, the Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department of Punjab issued the SOPs on the recommendation of the Technical Working Group as the National Coordination Committee (NCC) announced to lift lockdown restrictions from restaurants, sports, tourism and entertainment sectors after seeing new cases drop for several weeks.

Earlier on Thursday, the Planning and Development Minister had said that beginning next week dine-in restaurants, beauty salons, and cinemas would reopen across the country.

Businesses would be allowed to open according to their normal pre-coronavirus timings, he said.
