2 dead and at least 12 people are reported to be wounded in a powerful blast that occurred near Liaqat Bazaar on McConaghey Road in Quetta, on Tuesday.
The injured were shifted to the Civil Hospital, where an emergency has been declared, according to the police.
According to Civil Hospital Spokesperson Wasim Baig, two bodies were brought to the hospital while another 10 injured have been admitted to the facility’s trauma wing.
According to initial reports, the blast occurred in a motorcycle parked close to a security forces vehicle. The area has been cordoned off and investigations are underway.
Home Minister Zia Langov condemning the blast said that anti-state elements are trying to destabilize the law and order situation.
