Rabi ul Awal moon sighted in Pakistan

Rabi-ul-Awal moon has been sighted in Pakistan today (Tuesday) and Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH), 12th Rabi-ul-Awal will be celebrated on Sunday, November 10, 2019.

Rabi ul Awalis the third month in the Islamic calendar. The name Rabī’ al-awwal means “the first [month] or beginning of spring”, referring to its position in the pre-Islamic Arabian calendar.

The announcement of moon sighting was made by chairman Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Mufti Munib-ur-Rehman, after presiding over the Ruet-e-Hilal committee meeting in Karachi.

The meetings were also held in Quetta, Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar respectively.
