Raees famed director Rahul Dholakia offers to help Kashmiris stranded due to information blockade

After India imposed an information blockade in the Kashmir Valley and revoked the special status of Jammu & Kashmir, there have been voices raised against Indian atrocities.

Although the Indian film fraternity have stood strong besides Modi, there have been a handful of people who have raised their voice with the #NotMyIndia trending on Twitter. First it was filmmaker Shonali who shared how this wasn’t the country she had been proud of and how her heart hurt since she couldn’t reach Zaira Wasim and others stranded in the valley.

Now, it is Indian filmmaker Rahul Dholakia who recently took to Twitter to help Kashmiris who couldn’t reach their families stranded in Kashmir due to the curfew and information blockade.

“#Kashmiris who are living in various parts of the country and can’t reach their homes in the valley- if there is anyway we can help, please connect. You looked after us when we made movies there, now it’s our turn. #bollywood #insaniyat #ourownpeople,” wrote Rahul on his Twitter.
