Ramadan Moon: Central Ruet e Hilal committee meeting underway in Peshawar

Central Ruet e Hilal committee meeting is currently underway in Peshawar to sight the crescent of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

The meeting is being held in Peshawar under the chairmanship of Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee  Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, while the meetings of Zonal Committees are also underway across the country.

After the meeting, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, chairman of the central sighting of the crescent committee, will announce the sighting of the moon while holding a press conference.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) a day earlier notified that the chances of moon sighting in Peshawar are very less due to cloudy weather in the city.

It should be noted that yesterday Ramadan moon was not sighted in KSA. The Saudi Supreme Court appealed to the citizens to see the moon during Ramadan, but the evidence of the sighting of the moon was not received in the kingdom.

In Saudi Arabia, Thursday, March 23, will be the 1st of Ramadan 1444 Hijri.

While the Taraweeh prayer will be offered later today after Isha in the two holy places (Masjid al-Haram and Masjid an-Nabawi).
