The moon of Ramadan will be sighted all over Pakistan on the eve of April 24, 2020, and the holy month is to begin from April 25, 2020, says Minister of Science and Technology Ch. Fawad Hussain.
Taking it to social media, Fawad Hussain has again locked horns with Ruet-i-Hilal Committee, accusing Moon Sighting Committee of giving wrong dates for Rajab and Zeqad moon.
He further added that on March 5 he will brief the parliamentary religious affairs committees that Eid and Islamic festivities should not be divided, it should be a unity.
The ministry of science and technology developed an app to calculate the correct moon sighting last year. An app called The Ruet, combines the Islamic Hijri calendar with modern technology, facilitating Pakistanis to learn about the beginning of the new Islamic month with a single tap.
