Pakistan Muslim League (N) Punjab president Rana Sanaullah Khan was sent to jail on Tuesday on 14-day judicial remand a day after he was arrested by Anti-Narcotics Force(ANF) for possessing a large quantity of drugs in his car.
The PML-N leader, with five other suspects, was presented before the judicial magistrate Ahmed Waqas.
The court has sent all six suspects to jail on judicial remand.
Rana Sanaullah’s lawyer said that ANF arrested his client after making a political case.
Amidst strict security arrangements, Sanaullah were presented before the court. Over 400 security official were deployed to deal with the unpleasant situation.
Earlier, the former Punjab law minister was arrested from Sukheki area of Islamabad-Lahore motorway after ANF recovered drugs from his vehicle.
