Record 105 deaths from COVID-19 reported in Pakistan in last 24 hours
The second wave of coronavirus continues in Pakistan with the increasing number of positive cases and deaths are rapidly increasing.
Pakistan is ranked 29th in the list of coronavirus patients.
With surging COVID-19 positive cases, in the last 24 hours, 105 COVID-19 related deaths were reported. Among them 70 of the patients were on a ventilator, 98 deaths occurred in hospitals, and 7 deaths were reported outside hospitals.
Nationwide, most deaths occurred in Sindh and then in Punjab,
This is reportedly the country’s highest death toll since June 25 when it recorded 123 fatalities.
The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) says 38,028 tests for the coronavirus were carried out across the country yesterday, with the positive case rate rising to 7.2 percent and a total of 6,136,799 tests so far have been conducted.
A further 2,731 cases of coronavirus have been reported across the country in the last 24 hours, of which 2,510 are in critical condition.
According to NCOC, a total of 48,369 patients are in isolation in hospitals, quarantine centers, and homes, across the country.
Pakistan has 3,066 patients admitted to hospitals, of whom 316 are on ventilators.
