Renowned Urdu writer Masud Mufti has passed away on Tuesday.
The news of his death was shared by the writer’s son, Afaq Mufti, in a social media post.
“With great sadness, I have lost my father and best friend; my country has lost a great writer and the world has lost a great human…kindly keep my father Masud Mufti in your prayers”, he wrote in a Facebook post.
His death brings an end to an era of sophistication, nobility, and elegance in Urdu literature.
His remarkable works include Hum Nafs, Chehray, Chehray aur Mohray, and Lamhe.
